Rev. James Ritter pastors the Watsontown Baptist Church. A native of Hughesville, he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Mansfield University, and graduated from Eastern Seminary in 1983. He pastored in Northwest Pa., and in Lancaster before coming to Watsontown. Besides his pastoral ministry, Pastor Jim also serves as the Chairperson for the Coordinating Council for Church Leadership Institute for Northeast Pennsylvania – a two year intensive school that trains people to become certified lay ministers. Pastor Jim is the Instructor for the Old Testament Survey course, and has taught the Theology Course. Pastor Jim also serves as a substitute teacher for Watsontown Christian Academy.
Pastor Jim and his wife Mary have three daughters: Jennifer, Jessica, and Jamie. They also have one granddaughter: Elise.
